Description

Join us Saturday, May 3, 2014 in historic Downtown Montgomery for the second annual Southern Makers, a one day celebration of regional artists, farmers, chefs, architects and designers. By bringing together the Best of Alabama under one roof, the event offers a unique opportunity to "walk the state" with makers grouped with others from their own community.

Handpicked talent from across the state including Billy Reid, Natalie Chanin, Wesley True, the Pine Hill Haints and Amos Paul Kennedy are among the 100 celebrated artists, architects, designers, chefs, creators and musicians participating in the 2014 event. Through an all-day market bazaar, free demonstrations, live music, tastings, workshops and a conversation series, top Southern makers and supporters are connected through common threads of creativity and community.

Southern Makers is set for May 3, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Union Station Train Shed in Downtown Montgomery. Visit www.southernmakers.com for a full list of participating makers and a complete schedule.

Tickets will sell out early for this event so buy in advance and come meet your makers May 3. Tickets are available online only and are $20 for adults, $10 for children 10-15 and FREE for children under 10. Ticket price excludes Xorbia convenience fee, which helps make sure 100% of ticket proceeds benefits the EAT South non-profit organization.
